How Can I Help?

home :: safety hope opportunity :: paul

Paul had a reputation of being a class bully and a disruption. And, as a 9th grader he was reading at a 6th grade level. Because of his behavioral and academic failures, Paul had little self-esteem and a less than positive outlook on his future. Paul knew that traditional schooling wasn’t meeting his needs. So, he looked for a better way to learn and a chance to change his future. He looked to Crittenton Youth Academy (CYA) where the staff vowed to help him succeed. Instead of “giving up on him”, they took Paul in as family and built a program for his unique needs.

While at Crittenton Youth Academy, Paul earned all As and Bs and achieved great academic success. His reading level is now grade-level equivalent, and he established himself as a true role model and student leader. A recent graduate of Crittenton Youth Academy, Paul is a highly motivated young man and he is doing great! When asked how he feels about his success, Paul says, “I never imagined I would have gotten this far.” Better than that, Paul now realizes how far he can go, how big he can dream, and how successful he will be.
